OK (clears voice) this is my take
1. I didn't think I could respect or admire Kanye West any more than what I already did but............ He was A.MAZ.ING!!! From the stage set, to the LOUD simplicity (the red suit, white stage set, one man, one little beat machine..............I'm sure there was some kind of profound meaning knowing him as a VISIONARY and a CHOREOGRAPHER. I felt it.) It was an epic moment listening to the crowd chant his name. Pusha T gave me life with his appearance and most importantly the Got.Dam.Ballerinas. (let me get a hand clap for DANCE) I love love love (in my Donny Hathaway voice) the amazing respect that Dance is getting (side note: dance is now considered an official sport now.....hand clap).
2. The stage set was A.MAZ.IMG!!! That set could have had a performance all by itself and I would have been entertains.
3. I love the over all classic feel of the show. Drake looked quite dapper. what tipped his performance off for me was of course Miss Mary J. Blige. HU STAND UP! #GoBison
4. I am a new fan of Florence and the Machine. I appreciate the artistry and the vocal talent was so crystal clear. Oh and let me not forget the dancing in that performance. A.MAZ.ING!!! I believe Travis Wall choreographed that piece. A huge Congrats to him for that. (can I get another hand clap for dance).
5. Usher's performance was good lol. That stage set was EVERYTHING though. The choreography for this piece was on point as well (can I get just another hand clap for dance) but, Mr. Raymond is not the spring chicken that he use to be and it showed. (real shit, yellow bricks)
6. Lincoln Park was on point. Their performance was very powerful. I felt all of that energy they brought to the stage through my television.
7. I'm happy Miss Taylor Swift got her time to shine. I like the lyrical content in the song.
PAUSE..............................................................................................................................
Throughout the entire show I had my fingers crossed for a surprise performance from Janelle Monae =/ I was wishing on a star. lol
PLAY
8. Justin Beiber's performance was good. I loved that the Jabba Wockeez performed along with him (ok just one more hand clap for dance). There was a lot of MJ inspired choreography. I loved that Justin played the drums for us.
9. Eminem's performance was pretty good. The stage set was on point (red flames). I loved how Rihanna appeared and performed. She tried to convince us of her vocal talents. She sounded pretty good.
10. Congrats to Lady GaGa on racking up at this award show. She deserves them all. I love her humility and gratitude.
11. Cher's body is siiiiiiiiiiiiick. I believe she's like 60 or something. That's crazy
12. Congrats to Lauri-Ann Gibson @Boomkack for winning "Best Choreography" (ok so I lied lol I need another hand clap for dance).
13. Men in tailored suits just turn me on.
14. I did not like Ciara singing Nelly Furtado's hook to N.E.R.D's "Hot-N-Fun". =0/
15. Technology is just sky rocketing.
16. Sofia Vergara gave me life with her appearance. Love her.
17. Enjoyed seeing and hearing Kid Cudi (commercials)
18. I was hoping for some sassy energy to perform. (wishing on a star)
19. Nicki Minaj is always entertaining. She shocked me though. I was pleasantly surprised with her moves. I appreciated her dancers as well (pick me, pick me). Will.I.Am in his 'all black everything' idk.
20. To conclude, ALL MY DANCER HONEY BUNNIES .....WE WIN (-;
